These Terms of Use govern access to and use of SipMate. SipMate is a social app for discovering nearby adults who are open to drinks, coffee and spontaneous social hangouts. It is not a dating service and does not create any obligation to meet another user or consume alcohol.
1. Eligibility
SipMate is intended only for adults aged 18 and over. By creating or using an account, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and legally able to use the service where you live.
2. Your account
You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide, for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity performed through your account. Do not impersonate another person, create deceptive accounts or misuse another user's account.
3. Acceptable use
Do not use SipMate for harassment, threats, stalking, hate, scams, spam, exploitation, grooming, sexual abuse, illegal activity, dangerous conduct or attempts to circumvent safety controls. Child sexual abuse and exploitation, including CSAM, is strictly prohibited. Our public child-safety standards are available on the Child Safety page.
4. User content
You are responsible for profile information, photos and messages you submit. Only upload or share content you have the right to use. Content that violates these Terms, our Community Guidelines or applicable law may be removed.
5. Cheers, chat and real-world meetings
A Cheers or mutual CHEERS only indicates interest in connecting through SipMate. It does not create any promise, contract or obligation to meet. Users are responsible for their own decisions, personal safety, transport, conduct and alcohol consumption when interacting online or in person.
6. Blocking, reporting and moderation
SipMate provides tools to block and report users. We may review reports and take proportionate action, including warning, restricting, suspending or removing accounts, limiting features, removing content or preserving records when reasonably necessary for safety, abuse prevention or legal compliance.
7. Premium access
SipMate may offer Premium features. Availability, pricing, billing methods and eligibility may vary by platform, country, release stage or promotional offer. Where a platform version does not sell digital subscriptions inside the app, an already active Premium entitlement on the same SipMate account may still unlock eligible Premium features after sign-in.
8. Service changes and availability
SipMate is actively developed. Features may be changed, improved, limited, suspended or temporarily unavailable. We may also make changes required for security, legal compliance, platform rules or service reliability.
9. Account suspension and termination
We may restrict or terminate access where an account violates these Terms, creates a safety risk, abuses the service or where action is required by law or a platform provider. Users may request account deletion through the in-app Delete Account feature.
10. Account and data deletion
Information about account deletion is available on the Delete Account page. Some information may be retained where reasonably necessary for legal obligations, security, fraud prevention, abuse investigations or dispute resolution.
11. Privacy
Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
12. Liability and third-party services
SipMate may rely on third-party infrastructure, app stores, notification services, hosting providers and other services. To the extent permitted by applicable law, SipMate is not responsible for outages, conduct of other users or losses caused by circumstances outside its reasonable control. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
13. Changes to these Terms
These Terms may be updated when SipMate features, platform requirements or legal obligations change. The latest version will be published on this page with the current update date.
