Official SipMate description
Meet people nearby.
Make real plans.
SipMate is a social discovery app that helps people find others nearby who are up for a drink, coffee, or spontaneous meetup. It is built for real-life social connection — not dating.
What SipMate does
- Discover active people nearby and see what they are currently up for.
- Send a Cheers 🍻 to show you would be up for meeting.
- When the interest is mutual, it becomes CHEERS and chat unlocks.
- Turn online discovery into a real-life plan for beer, cocktails, coffee or simply good company.
- Go invisible whenever you do not want to appear in Nearby.
What makes SipMate different?
SipMate is not designed around dating mechanics. The goal is simpler: help people nearby discover each other when they are open to a spontaneous social plan. It can be used for friendship, meeting new people in a city, finding company for a drink or coffee, and creating casual real-world connections.
How does CHEERS work?
One person sends a Cheers. If the other person is interested too, the connection becomes CHEERS and chat opens. From there, users can make a real plan to meet.
Privacy and nearby discovery
SipMate uses location to support nearby discovery and distance. A user's precise location is not intended to be publicly displayed. Users can also switch inactive when they do not want to appear nearby.
Where is SipMate launching?
SipMate is preparing for launch with Germany first, followed by expansion into additional European markets.
